The Beijing competition area of the national academic League of Optics and optical engineering doctoral students has come to a successful conclusion

On March 6, 2021, the national doctoral League of optical and optical engineering, jointly sponsored by light academic publishing center and Ican and hosted by Beijing optical society, was successfully concluded in Beijing competition area!
The Beijing optical society has established the Beijing competition District organizing committee, chaired by academician Jin Guofan and academician zhouliwei, and 22 professors from Beijing University and Research Institute as members. The organizing committee has actively promoted and mobilized the event before the competition, and finally 21 doctoral students from 9 universities and institutes signed up for the competition. The event includes four parts: opening ceremony, first half schedule, second half schedule and award ceremony. It is presided over by Cao Liangcai of Tsinghua University and Professor wanyuhong of Beijing University of technology. The whole process is broadcast online through Tencent conference.
At the opening ceremony, the chairman of the Organizing Committee of Beijing competition district and academician Jin Guofan of Tsinghua University gave the opening speech, expressing gratitude to all the experts and judges of the competition and the active participation of young doctoral students. He also expressed great pleasure to see so many excellent doctoral students compete in the same competition. I hope that all the competitors will fully demonstrate their scientific research achievements and actively carry out academic thought collision in this event, And then promote wider and deeper exchanges and cooperation. Professor zhaitianrui, executive vice president of Beijing optical society, introduced in the opening speech that Beijing optical society is committed to organizing academic exchanges among young scientists and building a platform for young talents training. This competition provides a platform for full display and full exchange for doctoral students of optical and optical engineering in Beijing, and expresses the expectation of the excellent performance of the athletes.
The competition was divided into two half-time sessions in the afternoon, and was hosted by Professor Wang Qionghua of Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics and Professor Shi Shi of the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences. 22 contestants reported in turn, and the jury composed of 17 experts in optical field brought professional comments and guidance for the contestants, and comprehensively reviewed the performance of the contestants from four aspects: innovation, integrity, application prospect and performance. The judges, such as professor Fanzhongwei, Professor Chen Genxiang, Professor Xipeng and Professor sangxinzhu, also provide detailed suggestions and professional guidance on how to prepare excellent academic reports.
The chairman of the Organizing Committee of Beijing competition district and academician zhouliwei of Beijing University of technology summarized the event, evaluated the performance of the students as "the future is daunting and the later students can be expected", and praised the outstanding achievements made by the students. Academician Zhou gave guidance on how to make the academic report "understandable", including how to describe objectively and carefully from the research background, scientific issues, personal opinions, key technologies, achievement publication and achievement evaluation, and finally, I wish the candidates who were selected for the national competition to achieve excellent results on behalf of Beijing competition area.

After fierce competition, Beijing competition area finally produced 2 first prize, 3 second prize, 5 third prize and 11 excellent award. Among them, 10 players who won first prize, second prize and third prize will represent Beijing competition area to participate in national championship.
